Fiesta Feminista, a Malaysian initiative, is about making connections, exchanging ideas, and educating ourselves about issues surrounding feminism, women's rights, development and democracy.

It seeks to bring people together - people who share a vision for a just and equal society, free of all forms of discrimination, particularly discrimination against women.

Starting in 2007 in the form of a two-and-a-half-day event, Fiesta Feminista will showcase a range of activities covering issues under four broad areas: Feminism, Gender and Development; Human Rights and Democracy; Social Movements; and Women Organising. This year's theme is "Embracing Diversity", in recognition of how acknowledging and celebrating diversity is a necessary step towards bridging and addressing differences.

If you care about these issues, join us!
